He is a highly qualified and experienced cardiologist with over four decades of experience in the field. He has worked in various countries, including UK, Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait, Tunis and the UAE.
Dr. Yahya Kiwan is also a distinguished stem cell researcher and advocate, and a proud member of the American Academy of Regenerative Medicine, having developed a keen interest in exploring the potential applications of stem cells in cardiology since 2018. As a senior consultant interventional cardiologist, he has experience in directing cath labs, managing departments of cardiology, and leading cardiac intervention teams
He has written a book chapter on the role of stem cells in cardiology and is currently a scientific adviser and researcher at the Cell Surgical Network. He frequently gives lectures and interviews on the benefits of stem cell therapy. His ultimate goal is to establish a multidisciplinary stem cell center in the region that can cater to all medical subspecialties. In addition to his medical expertise, Dr. Yahya Khan is a skilled leader and manager.
He has held several management positions in various hospitals, developed protocols, guidelines, and clinical management pathways, assessed hospital quality assurance, performed audits, and managed patients' safety. He is proficient in data management and analysis for clinical and scientific research purposes and has demonstrated effective communication and decision-making strategies. He is also involved in medical training and education, mentoring junior colleagues, and delivering education and training programs.
